Help is just a phone call or email away!

let me help you help yourself!

Have you been feeling sad or anxious? Are you finding it increasingly difficult to get out of bed in the morning and attend to what you need to do in your day? Is it just too hard to adjust after your break up or to a new job? Are you hesitant to engage with others and as a consequence are socially isolated and lonely? Have you been struggling with your weight and body image and feel like you might benefit from a stronger sense of self? Are you consumed with anger or regret from past life experiences and you just want a break and the ability to move forward with your life? Let me help you manage your problems of daily living.

There is power in knowing that you are more than good enough. You have value and importance. Embracing your vulnerabilities is a necessary component to growth and positive change. When we feel less than or inadequate or that we are “not measuring up”, we are fraught with insecurity and fear and can become stuck in our dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors. It can be exhausting to process all of that negativity! I can help you address those negative concerns and learn to re-frame them. I utilize cognitive behavior therapy with clients to address your anxiety provoking thoughts. Cognitive Behavior Therapy or CBT focuses on the affirmative and what aspects of our lives that can be controlled. For example, “I may not have gotten the promotion this time but I have skills and strategies that I didn’t have before. I will be better prepared for the next opportunity. I have value independent of this particular job.”

It is absolutely liberating to get the necessary support and the tools to talk back to negative ideas and lean into the fear or uncertainty. I constantly review the behavioral outcome literature and utilize techniques that are proven to be the most effective for your particular problem area. Learn to manage your anxiety or depression. The negative thoughts or fear associated with those issues can keep us from taking that first step. CBT teaches us to address the negative thoughts and detoxify them. Dr. Sircus can help you learn to create and practice a positive self dialogue, “I can do this, I can get past this barrier or concern, I am a good person, I will continue on my journey forward to a happier and more fulfilling life.”

CBT helps you help yourself. Most people see positive changes in just 6 –8 weeks. Contact Dr. Linda Sircus now. Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
